Sheldon Shaw

Sheldon Shaw recently graduated from the Registered Massage Therapy program at West Coast College of Massage (WCCMT) and he will be writing the board exam in September 2023. He brings a great skillset and personality to the team and we’re excited to have him join our growing community.

Sheldon was always physically active: from hiking, camping and running to being involved in playing football, rugby and more recently bouldering. He enjoys anything that involves nature and movement. Through living an active lifestyle and sustaining various injuries, he found that he benefited from massage therapy for stress reduction, performance recovery and injury rehabilitation tools. This positive experience directed Sheldon in pursuing a career as an RMT.

Sheldon Shaw utilizes an evidence-based approach in order to develop a tailored treatment plan for each of his patients while also integrating movement and breathing exercises throughout the treatment. He also values slowing the treatment pace down to provide a nice relaxing and sedating style to help his clients relax and escape from their busy lives.  Sheldon’s goal as a therapist is to help his clients maintain their overall health and well being in order to fully enjoy their recreational and performance pursuits.

Sheldon has also obtained his Bachelor of Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia – Okanagan, with a major in Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2021. Through his degree, he learnt the importance of exercise as a proactive approach to maintaining both physical and mental health.
