Wendy Rempel is a graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, BC where she completed the 3,000 hour Registered Massage Therapy program.
It was here that she received in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, hydrotherapy, pain and stress management. During Wendy’s time in school she worked with patients in the schools main clinic and arthritis clinic, as well as participated in outreach programs that focused on people with disabilities. Wendy has volunteered her time to provided massage therapy to athletes, particularly triathletes, marathon runners, rock climbers and Canada’s National Women’s Rugby Team.
Born and raised in Ladysmith, she is thrilled to be treating in her home community and providing massage therapy services. As a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), she uses modalities such as Swedish Massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, joint mobilization and muscle energy techniques. Wendy Rempel is a firm believer in continuing education, specifically with training in Craniosacral Therapy (CST). CST is a gentle hands on therapy used to calm the nervous system and encourage natural healing mechanisms. CST can be performed as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with other massage therapy modalities. People of all ages can benefit from this practice, including infants and children. CST can be use to treat:
